Just another Saturday
Jan 29th, 2005 Posted in Blog Entries | no comment »Well, today was a phun day….and I will tell you why:
Firstly, I went to the movies, like most Saturdays. I watched “Hero”. Now I will give my thoughts on this film:
Hero is a film about a man who has trained himself for the past ten years to assasinate the king of Qin, one of the six countries which will be knows as China today. The reason he wants to assasinate him, is because the king killed his family before they could name him, so, his name is, Nameless. No, really, that is his name. So, the only way he can do this, is by being granted permission to come within ten steps of the king. In order to accomplish that, he must kill the assasins that are after the king. the entire film consists of flashbacks of how the killings of the assasins had come to pass. Many many versions of what truly happened is shown, which leaves one quite confused. what makes it even more confusing is the fact that the entire film is in Chinese, which means you have to read your way through the film.
With Jet Lee portraying the main character, you are garenteed a good actor, good coriography, and great sword fighting, as that is the theme of the movie.
This is in the end a classical Quinten Torrentino film, no doubt about that.
I also went to the park to go and chat to Mia. She always wants to know what Estiaan has to say about her…..I personally think she likes him…..but you did not hear that from me….
Other then that, I ordered the Linux Mandrake 10.1 eleven CD set, so I am going to leave Windows XP FOREVER! MUAHAHAHA! So, everyone SUPPORT OPEN SOURCE! We even have a open sorce TV Program here in South Africa, which is backed by the Shuttleworth ZFoundation…you know…the first African in space…multi billionair…..one of the richest people in the world…yeah…that guy. He used to live around the corner. Litteraly. He really lved just up the street…..
Anywho…that is all I have for today…enjoy yourself!
OH! And post comments about the film review!
