The insanely boring life…

Well, it HAS been quite a long time since I have posted, but I really have not had time. What with all the concert practices and all that jazz.
I am still on the hunt for a photo of Mia, but do not fear, i WILL get one. MUAHAHAHHAHA.

Anyway, what is interesting. Oh yes, I went to see a movie on Saturday. I saw Meet the Fockers. It was absolutly hilarious! There is simply no other word to discribe it. in fact, I am going to see it again.

I have finally got my LG DVD Writer. It can write every format imaginible and whatnot. It is quite fancy, i must admit. Nothing else interesting has happened, but I will keep you informed. My B-day is almost here, so I wonder what i am going to do this year. I r e a l l y wanna do something interesting. I just dont know what….

Well, as you know today had been another BORING sunday. Yes. I sat, yet again, infront of my computer doing nothing. So, it was not very exiting.

One thing happened that was a little exiting: My domain was transferred today. Although it needs yet another 8 hours to complete the dns settings. Well, I can wait. i playd around with the control panel, and I must say that I absolutly ADRE the CP. It even has fantastico. It is an app that will automatically install almost any script, like phpNUKE or somethig similar.

Anyway, so, besides that…nothing…oh I also did a science project on helium. I must say that it was by far the easiet project I have done in a long time. i dont even understand what half of the stuff mean, but yeah….

Well, this week has been interesting.

Apart from the fact that Estiaan is ignoring me for a post I made ont his site such a LONG time ago. Anyway, i also strted working on the schools website. I started looking into what is cool, what I want. Oh, wait. I have not told you yet, but I am programming the schools website. YAY! Of cource, the teachers (who I thought were vile creatures) are actually very nice after school. You would not recognize a soul. I am telling you, i nearly had a heart attack when the teachers were actually speaking like human beings and not like vile evil witches. Ok, they are really not that bad..but still…

Well, since today is Saturday, you cna guess what I did. Yes, I went to the movies. Not alone. No, I went with Duan. He is a very good friend. We met in English. It is strange that I have not mentioned him before. Oh Well. We saw two movies. We saw Finding Neverland and Shall We Dance. I loved both of them, although i have already seen Shall we Dance.

Today was real fun. I can ACTUALLY have a conversation with him. e likes ALL the things I do, like movies and all that jazz. I must say that i can never compare the marks I get at school to his. I get in the 70’s and he in the high 80’s.

Oh well. Anyway, I also started to teach myself some more advanced php other than the “Hello, World!” script. The first PHP you learn.

Well, today was Saturday…..yes…as the tiel suggests. Nothing really happened.

I receaved my monthly magazine in the mail today (PCFormat) aswell as a CD which the Mark Shuttelworth Foundation sent me. Yeah. That guy that was like the first african in space or something. He invented an open source antivirus thing…i think……so he became a billionaire when some rich guy bought it from him…so much for open source.

The CD just contains a few apps like OpenOffice and all that jazz. They give the CD out for free. You put your postal address in the form, and within 6 weeks, you have the CD. I must say that this service is only currently availible for South Africa. And soon they will start giving linux CD’s out for free. So, you can visit the site at: www.go-opensource.org

I also saw that movie Hitch today with Mia and another friend. It was simply HILARIOUS! I am going to write a Harry potter fan fiction based on that.

Yesterday I saw Phantom of the Opera again with my granparents. they thought it was brilliant. Again, it is one of those movies you must see at least once in your life……so…enjoy yours!

Hello Everybody!

Ok, I have bad news. Virtual Hogwarts broke! I dont know what happened! I really dont know! Every user was suddenly declared inactive. I dont really know why. When I say every user, i include myself. So, I cannot log in, no one can log in! It is an apocilypse!

Oh Well…..Oh, I have got a decent picture of me…kinda… If you want to see. Beware….Before you look, I got glasses a few days ago. Yeah, I am…um…i forgot the word…but in short i cannot see far away. Which I though was obsurd, but when I put on my new glasses, a whole new world opened up to me! Anyway, I look a bit formal in that pic, also I edited it a bit. Just a little glow and a little blur. It always looks so nice…well…to me at least! >:) I am wearing my school clothes. Which include a white short, a gold and blue tie, but I dont have the dark blue and gold blares on.

Well, now on to other subjects…

In the long time i didn’t post, I watched several movies. And I saw one movie which will from now on be my favorite movie in the WORLD!
The Phantom of the Opera. EVERYONE must see this movie at least once in their life. I ma talking about the 2004 version of that movie, of course. I saw it only in 2005. We get all the movies two months later….

Ok, now I will explain everything. Why I never posted for sucha long time. So, be warned, this is a LONG post.

It all started a few weeks ago when I thought that it would be cool to swithc to Linux Mandrake 10.1. I was getting tired of Windows, and it was not letting me form it into my will. So, I bought Linux (yeah, i know its free to download, but i did not have the time).

I formatted my computer, and installed Linux, which took about two hours. It worked, except i could not go on the internet, which is what i needed to do quie badly to get anything to work.

The modem was not supported by Linux. So, I went and bought a new modem. yay. But, when i put the modem into my computer, it said tat Linux dos not support this modem. Now, I was getting irretated. I got my money back for te modem, and I went to a place and asked if they have modems that will work with Linux. They told me that there was no modem that is in South Africa that will work with it.

I was furious, they had only told me now. I was really getting irretated. Now, my only hope was to install windows again. So, i formatted my computer again. (I have formatted my computer many times before). When I was done, i put he hard drive back into the computer, and it would not boot up.

So, i took it to a place, and was told by several people that the mother board had given in due to static electricity. Now, I was worries. By this time, my rich uncle had come to visit, and he bought me a new motherboard. The mother board did not fit in my old computer box, so I had to buy a new one. Now I have a black one, mind you. Anyway, so he bought the new box, and put the motherboard in, and it still did not work.

We thought that then it was in fact not the motherboard, that had given in, but the CPU. The most expensive part of the PC. I was now REALLY getting woried. We took it in for an assesment, and it turned out i only plugged one cabe in the wrong place.

Then I thought, well, since i am on a buying spree, I might as well buy a new hard drive and 256 MB of ram. (now i have a 400 BG hard drive and 512 MB ram). So, I installed Windows, and voilla! Now I am back where I was before the incedent, whith only a very thinner wallet.

Well, week two has come to an end….yay….
I dont have much to report this sunday…since almost no1 was onmline today….. It was mostly boring. I know this post is late, but that is because i just finished my homework…yeah. I like to do my homework on a Sunday. Anywho…don’t have much to say….so…
