Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Next Project

I only recently found out that Andrew Lloyd Webber (one of my favourite composers) is working on his next project called “The Master and Margarita“. It is surprising that he says in his blog post (I never even knew he blogged) that he will most likely turn this Russian novel into an Opera, which is an interesting turn for a musical writer. I can personally not wait for this to become a reality and when it comes out I will most likely see it. I am in South Africa, but the Really Useful Group says that production will most probably take 3 years, including writing. At that time I will be out of the hell hole some people call a country.

Anyway, back to the topic. If you want to know more about the novel, check out this Wikipedia Article.

Excuse me, I really need to know where you exactly found the piece of information that says “the production will take 3 years”.

You mentioned it’s from the Really Useful Group, but where exactly did they say it???

This is very important for me. I need reliable information.

Thank you!

On Andrew’s site, go to The Contact Page (direct link: http://www.andrewlloydwebber.com/sections/contact/contact.php?section=contact ) and the first question of the FAQ is is “Can I submit ideas/scripts for shows?” The answer to that question says the following:
“…As Andrew is currently working on his adaptation of Master and Margarita, and The Really Useful Group’s production plans are secured for the next 3 years, we’re afraid that we cannot consider unsolicited works at this point.”

So, there you go!
