Mama Jack

I ahve written my first IMDB movie review !!! Yay! I feel so important!

IMDB: Mama Jack

I am still waiting for it to be approved, but here is what I wrote about Mama Jack:

When someone told me this was a Leon Schuster film, I immediately thought that this would be another one of those candid camera films he was so famous for, because, in my view, he is entirely incapable for having an actual plot in a film. So, it was quite reluctantly that I walked into the cinema. In fact, I am sure I only walked in because of the trailers that were showing…but was I surprised!

This was one of the best South African films I have seen in a VERY long time, considering is genre. I laughed this entire film through because of the fabulous story telling, good acting, and above all, the hilarious Leon Schuster!

Jack Theron is fired from the film set of the movie after he allegedly attacked a famous American actress. He thankfully evades capture by the police. His best friend supplies him with a costume that looks like an entirely real woman. While on the run, he finds himself in the home of an American woman, who mistakes him for her new maid. Attracted to her, he continues the charade, but things get more complicated when he finds out that her boyfriend is the director who fired him. At the same time, he adopts another disguise so that he can court his new boss. As the situation gets more complicated, things eventually come to a head and the truth comes out… with disastrous consequences.

Truth be told, this was the most hilarious film I have seen in the 15 years of my existence.

9 our of 10!!!

Anyway, so that is my rating on mama jack.
